The Olden Days

Theresa posted this to her facebook site the other day...I am just cracking up...what goobs we were! this is at a Dead show in Columbus, circa 1988. Joan and I made our tie-dyes, I think. And poor Robin looks like she's just trying to tolerate us. I really don't remember a whole lot about this show....

Remember it was in the middle of a very long drought and it was hot as Hades?

I remember that show - it was CRAZY HOT and the Violent Femmes opened up (acoustic). They were passing out water in jugs. The parking lot was unbelieveable and packed. We finally fell asleep in my car and awoke to a kindly yellow shirt rapping on our window at about 4 in the morning and telling us to get out. We went to what seemed like a campground but may in actuality been some kind of hunting grounds. It was odd. But an excellent show none the less. (cousin michele)
